Hey Down Here
!
The three wise monkeys (that’s us in the picture) Nicole, Adrian and Jared have been working together in pubs and restaurants throughout the region for the past 10 years. Orange was chosen for our first restaurant because of its great local produce and burgeoning food culture…. Oh and Adrian love’s the local wines!!
The food at Eighteen 70 is best described as Country Fusion. All produce is sourced locally where possible and most falls within the “100 Mile Diet” requirements. Its fresh , its local, its beautifully prepared, happy days. For you progressive types, don’t worry it’s not all beef and bread. We have Vegetarian and Gluten free options available, our wait staff totally understand your dietary needs and our chefs always eager to impress. Fire up your taste buds check out the Menu by clicking here.
What kind of pleasurable dining experience would it be without a fine selection of local Orange Wines. We have a wonderful selection from Bloodwood, Brangayne, Angullong, Swinging Bridge and many more. There are over 85 local wines to choose from with another 20 popular national wines available. If you’re feeling a little parched nothing beats a nice cold Peroni or Grolsch on tap. Or if Ciders your style, try a local Small Acres Cider Rouge or a popular Magners Pear, Bulmers Original or the exotic Rekorderlig Wild Berrie cider. To get that pallet excited, check out our beverage list here.
We can seat up to 98 people, the restaurant and gardens make for a beautiful wedding reception or special family function. Our resident civil celebrant Anne Kelly can conduct marriage ceremonies, naming days and other occasions.
